My name is Siri and I work as a ceramic artist in Göteborg, Sweden.
I create functional objects for everyday use, alongside occasional wall-based ceramic works. Stoneware and porcelain clays are my primary materials. The functional pieces are often wheel-thrown, with a strong focus on form, colour and use. Through slab-building technique, I layer coloured clays, gradually constructing patterns and motifs. This method forms the basis of my serving platters. Much of the work lies in the hand-painted decoration - a slow, deliberate process that gives each object its distinct character.
I prefer making a small number of carefully considered pieces rather than many generic ones. My practice is guided by intention, simplicity and a quiet sense of exclusivity.
